AntiCyberbullying for Adults: http://ccis.ccsdtitle1.org/anti-cyberbullying-for-parents.html
Each of these items were designed for a specific audience, school district stakeholders and the AdvancED accreditation team, my district's Title I Parents, and teachers who work with Title I Families. Identifying these learners/audiences, their needs, goals, and abilities, technical constraints, and organizational goals has taught me to look for a balance between the necessary and the desirable. I am able to select an objectively "best" method when available or scale down to a suitable delivery when required.
AECT Standard 2: DEVELOPMENT
Candidates demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to develop instructional materials and experiences using print, audiovisual, computer-based, and integrated technologies.

Accessible Online Newsletter: http://735final.shelbyesimmons.me/
Accessible Online Newsletter: http://735final.shelbyesimmons.me/
These artifacts represent two styles of online communication, the first demonstrates how I modified instruction to use a variety of materials and formats to teach the same lesson I had previously presented in person and in a low-tech format. The accessible newsletter demonstrates a commitment to accessible technology, professional presentations, and professional knowledge.
Additionally, the portfolio itself, addresses indicators 2.0.1, 2.0.7, 2.2.1, and 2.4.5 because I used the ADDIE design model process as required by EDET 793 to design and develop the portfolio site, using the AECT standards to inform my decisions as to the artifacts to include and delivery methods. Within this site you will find a wide variety of links to other websites, videos, pdfs, and images.

AECT Standard 3: UTILIZATION
Candidates demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to use processes and resources for learning by applying principles and theories of media utilization, diffusion, implementation, and policy-making.
Artifacts

Creating Content Lesson: http://ccis.ccsdtitle1.org/creating-content/
Creating Content Lesson: http://ccis.ccsdtitle1.org/creating-content/
These artifacts were designed during different time periods, for different audiences, for different purposes and those differences are evident. The essays identify policies and procedures to manage technological resources and instructional implementation and include evaluation of local resources. The parenting lesson is still in progress but clearly demonstrates identification and application of creator's rights (copyright, etc.) and take advantage of fair use and application of relevant policies.
AECT Standard 4: MANAGEMENT
Candidates demonstrate knowledge, skills, and dispositions to plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise instructional technology by applying principles of project, resource, delivery system, and information management.

Anti-Cyberbullying for Parents Group Development Site: http://breakingdesigns.weebly.com/
Anti-Cyberbullying for Parents Group Development Site: http://breakingdesigns.weebly.com/
These artifacts demonstrate two experiences in group projects, the latter is more recent, the first artifact produced and acceptable product and taught me the basics of long-distance group work, including what not to do. The second artifact reflects as successful, productive, collaborative working experience that was well managed by and effective group leader that serves as a good example of what I plan to do in the future.
AECT Standard 5: EVALUATION
Candidates demonstrate knowledge, skills, and dispositions to evaluate the adequacy of instruction and learning by applying principles of problem analysis, criterion-referenced measurement, formative and summative evaluation, and long-range planning.

Mini-Redesign Project: http://www.shelbyesimmons.me/miniredesign/
Mini-Redesign Project: http://www.shelbyesimmons.me/miniredesign/
The first artifact for this section demonstrates the use of Web 2.0 tools to design assessments that challenge, entertain, and truly evaluate understanding. The quizlet activity is one of the assessments that can be completed for the Anti Cyberbullying for Parents lesson (in addition to a paper based pdf or game-style assessment also available via quizlet). The second artifact details my application of process analysis skills to improve instruction based on an understanding of learner characteristics and instructional design. These artifacts highlight my understanding that today's learners value choice and Universal Design encourages multiple means of action and expression - more that one way to show what you know!
